About SoundStage! Xperience

Part of the SoundStage! Network team in Las Vegas in January 2010.

The SoundStage! Network was established in 1995 with the original SoundStage! publication, the world's first online audio magazine. SoundStage! was the catalyst for the SoundStage! Network, a group of online publications dedicated to quality sound reproduction for the home. SoundStage! remains our most popular publication today and the entire SoundStage! Network group of publications is considered the global leader for covering specialty audio and video for the home.

SoundStage! Xperience was conceived in January 2010 as a replacement for the Home Theater & Sound publication, which had been in existence for ten years. The goal was to broaden the scope of content beyond only home theater into all entertainment that consumers now consider mandatory for their home. This includes home theater, hi-fi and personal electronics. The design work for SoundStage! Experience was created in February and March of 2010; our art director is Karen Fanas. SoundStage! Xperience was officially launched April 1, 2010.

The Xperience name reflects two things. First, it's indicative of our own experience in the online publishing field. In 1995, we began with a single publication. Fifteen years later, we are now a network of publications and are the worldwide leaders in specialty audio/video coverage. This publication reflects the experience we've gained. Second, the name was chosen mostly because of the content itself -- music, movies, shows played back in the home environment can be an amazing home-entertainment experience providing you have the kind of equipment to reproduce them properly. We discuss the equipment that can provide this amazing experience along with the movies, music and shows for you to enjoy.
